Press conference of all the people´s responsibility to guard the safety of nursing working environments in Taiwan Nurses Association

On the eve of the Nurses Day, Taiwanese nurses receive a special gift from the Bureau of National Health Insurance - increasing the openness of applicable scope of Safety Intravenous Catheter - including patients of AIDS, Virus Hepatitis, SARS, Blood Transmissible Diseases, Drug Abused and unit to Entire Emergency Room, which will enhance prevention and control of needle stick injuries suffered by health care workers while in the process of patient care, thus, matching the concept of the topic of «Safe Staffing Saves Lives» of the Nurses Day, proposed by the International Council of Nurses. B. Braun Taiwan has been actively involved in the approval process from academic study to clinical approach, from governmental authorities to various related industries. We expect the name of " Introcan® Safety " will be surely playing a vital role in the development of safety IVC segment in local market.

Taiwan Nurses Association has planned to hold two «Workshops of prevention and control of sharp object injuries», which sponsored by B.Braun Taiwan, in the north of NTUH (National Taiwan University Hospital) and south of NCKUH (National Cheng Kung University Hosp) , not only expressing the emphasis of the nursing professional groups on the job safety of nursing staffs through the press conference but also educating the nursing staffs on how to protect themselves in the disciple of a master process by the discussions of the workshops.
